Principles
We process personal data only on the basis of the statutory provisions (GDPR, DSG) and only to the extent necessary for the respective purpose.
This website
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics services. Fonts, graphics and scripts are served from our own server. Your choice of language and appearance is stored locally by your browser and does not leave your device.
Map on the contact page
The map on the contact page loads its map tiles from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation, United Kingdom) as soon as it comes into view. OpenStreetMap receives your IP address and the usual information sent by your browser. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in showing you the way to us (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). An adequacy decision of the European Commission exists for the United Kingdom. No other page makes a connection to third parties.
Links to other websites, such as route planning on OpenStreetMap or the websites of our group, only open them when you click.
Server logs
When you visit the website, the server stores technical information: the shortened IP address (without the last part of an IPv4 address, only the first 48 bits of an IPv6 address), time, requested address, browser and operating system. This serves secure operation and troubleshooting (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) and is deleted after 30 days. The website is operated in Austria.
Contact form and email
When you write to us, we process your details in order to answer your enquiry (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR): name, company, email address, phone number if provided, and your message.
We protect the form against automated submissions ourselves, without third party services. When the page loads, our server issues a token with the time; on submission it checks that the token is genuine and that a few seconds have passed. The token contains no personal data.
Applications
When you apply through the form on the careers page or by email, we process your details in order to assess your application and carry out the recruitment procedure (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR): name, email address, phone number, the position you are applying for, your possible start date, a profile link, your message and the documents you upload, such as your CV, cover letter and certificates. Please do not send us information we do not need for the application, for example about your health or religion.
Your application is stored on our own servers in Austria. Only the people at sinnograte who decide on the position can see it. You will receive a confirmation at the email address you provide. Like the contact form, the application form is protected against automated submissions.
If you are not hired, we delete your details and documents six months after the procedure has ended. We keep them for that long so that we can respond to claims under the Austrian Equal Treatment Act (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). If you are hired, the documents become part of your personnel file.
Disclosure
Data is only passed on to IT service providers under a data processing agreement according to Art. 28 GDPR, to sinnotrade GmbH as an affiliated company insofar as your enquiry concerns it, or where we are legally obliged to do so.
Storage period
We store your data for as long as necessary for the purpose or as long as statutory retention periods apply.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Please write to datenschutz@sinnograte.at.
If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority, dsb.gv.at.
